or as vulgar as I am afraid?
Week 43 #2.
Our backyard’s full of chile pequins,
whose bright red fruits we happily glean.
While they’re teensy in size,
their burn makes many cry,
but they’re perfect for spicy cuisine.
They have all the light bulbs you might need
and will sell them to you for a fee.
Their bulbs include halides
and some party blacklights
plus bug-killing and light therapy.

I get excited whenever I have an excuse to visit the Light Bulb Shop. In related news, I continue to be really, really easily amused.
Week 38 #1.
On a scorchingly hot summer day,
irobots’ and my cameras played.
We explored vacant lots
and took so many shots
while we wandered through urban decay.

A little limerick about murder. We have narrowed it down to two suspects, but the true identity of the murderess may never be known.
Once two antagonistic girl cats
felt they needed something to poke at.
So they ran through the house
‘til they scared up a mouse.
(The leftovers? Dropped on the bath mat.)

Starting in ‘96, a new trend:
small hive beetles with which to contend.
But these could not escape
from a quite crushing fate
when they chose this harvest to attend.

In a South Austin shrine to worn boots,
an albino canine shows some tooth.
For while pigment she lacks,
she’s got rather a knack
for street style Sartorial shoots.

Week 28 #2.
Long board transport can be quite a fight.
Even huge SUVs just aren’t right.
But vintage sports cars will
in a pinch fit the bill
if all passengers inside hold tight.
Cats like Harley hate staying inside,
but it’s there that she’s forced to abide.
When from her cage she’s freed,
she soon finds herself treed
and her owners “I told you so” chide.
Once a Texas surf town’s lovely beach
started washing away out of reach.
So they trucked in some sand,
hoped it stuck to their plans
before more houses fell to the siege.
