Birds of a feather
don’t really flock together
when living in town.
From the top: Turkey Vulture; Scissortail Flycatcher; Northern Mockingbird; Guinea Fowl. I saw all four (plus several more interesting specimens that escaped my lens) on my way to and from work on the same day, which made for a pretty blissful commute.

(The “lake” is actually the Colorado River, but this section is locally referred to as Lady Bird -formerly Town- Lake.)

Week 20 #1. In all honesty, I can’t quite remember exactly when I took this one, but it was on one of the rolls I picked up from the lab this week and it makes me grin (I mean, no one ever bothers to asks why the guinea crossed the road), so that’ll have to do.
