Week 26 #1. The 25th Annual Houston Art Car Parade, digital favorites.

Multiple choice: This is Brenna’s favorite event (a) of the year, (b) in Texas, (c) to photograph, or (d) all of the above.

Answer: d.

Along those lines, I’m posting a <expletive deleted> ton of pics from this event this week, so apologies in advance if this isn’t your kettle of crazy.

When others did this
I snickered and said: Gimmick!
I should stop that now.

Week 25 #5.

Birds of a feather

don’t really flock together

when living in town.

From the top: Turkey Vulture; Scissortail Flycatcher; Northern Mockingbird; Guinea Fowl. I saw all four (plus several more interesting specimens that escaped my lens) on my way to and from work on the same day, which made for a pretty blissful commute.

Today I learned that
the barbeque grill cover
makes a great backdrop.

Precipitation

reduces the epic drought

while trashing the lake.

(The “lake” is actually the Colorado River, but this section is locally referred to as Lady Bird -formerly Town- Lake.)

Week 25 #2.
Once a silly man rode on the train.
He appeared to be lacking a brain.
He took handicapped seats
and phone calls loudly bleat
while from eating he failed to refrain.

Week 25 #1.

Caterpillars say:

Ba chomp. And: Ba chewy chomp.

Then: Ba chewy chomp.

The garden was shocked

by how much dill it takes to

make a butterfly.

The lady bug is
-though poorly focused, damnit-
eating an aphid*.
(*I think. I hope. I pray.)

Week 23 #5.

From his afternoon nap Pancake woke

fearing Harley, while sleeping, had croaked.

So he tickled her paws

with his whiskers and claws

‘til she glared and hissed: cut the pokes, bloke!
